James Huston, Dennis Kelly, John Crasey, David Trimble, John
Tate, James Cowdon, James Montgomery, William Hyde, John
Greenlee, and William McKutcheon who being Elected Tried and
Sworn the truth to speak upon the Issue Joined upon their
Oaths do say that the Defendant doth Owe to the Plaintif the
sum of fourteen pounds with Lawfull Interest thereon at the
rate of five per Centum per Annum to be Computed from the
first day of April one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Six
untill paid the Debt in the Declaration Mentioned in manner
and form as the Plaintif against him hath Complained and they
do Assess the Plaintifs Damages by the Detention Thereof to
one Penny besides the Costs. Therefore It is considered by
the Court that the Plaintif recover against the said defendant
his Debt aforesaid Together with his Damages aforesaid in Form

North River of Shanando and is part of two grants to James
Leeper Senior by Patents one bearing the date the 12th July
1742 and the other date the 26th day of Apr 1742, both
descended to the said Nicholas Leeper as Eldest son and heir
at Law of the sd. James Leeper. for 5 shillings current Money

Whereas Hugh Donaghe & Elizabeth his wife by their Indenture
of 18th Sep 1787 sold to Matthias Carsh a tract of land
containing 200 acres and whereas the said Elizabeth cannot
conveniently travel to our Said County Court of Augusta to
make acknowledgment of the said conveyance therefore we do
give unto you power to receive the acknowledgment which the
said Elizabeth shall be willing to make before you which is
annexed and that you do personally go to the said Elizabeth
and receive her acknowledgment examine her privately and
openly certify us thereof in our said County Court under your
hands given this the 19th day of Sept 1787.
By virtue of the Commission hereunto annexed we the Subjects
did on the 28th day of Sept. 1787 personally go to the
within named Elizabeth and having examined her privately - -
Certify that she declared that she fully & Voluntarily
acknowledged the conveyance conveyed in the Indenture hereunto

had any notice of the said Bond being assigned - And the said
Deft being solemnly called and not appearing, on the Motion of
the plt by Archd Stuart esquire his attorney it is considered
by the Court that the plt recover against the deft Thirteen
pounds 13/6 Specie due by account proved in Court with legal
Interest thereon from the Twenty first day of November 1777
until paid & the Costs in this behalf expended And it is
ordered that the said Robertson pay unto the plt the aforesaid
sum of 23/ in part of this Judgment and that the said Daniel
Stover discharge the remainder of this Judgment out of the

This day came the parties by there Counsel, and having heard
the Bill & answer, and the Depositions taken & returned it
is ordered and decreed that the said Injunction be disolved
except as to the Interest on £14.19 from the 27th day of July
1784 until the 15th day of August 1787 - also the Sheriffs
Comission thereon Which together amount to Two pounds
19/5 and as to the said sum of Two pounds 19/5 the said
Injunction is made perpetual, and it is farther ordered and
decreed that the Deft pay unto the plts their Costs of the
