DAVID LEWIS Sr.

Ref: THE GENEALOGY OF THE LEWIS FAMILY IN AMERICA, by William Terrell 
Lewis, The Courier Journal Press, Louisville, KY, 1893. This genealogy
is the only known record for the children of David Lewis Sr. Tradition
said John LEWIS came from Wales to Virginia about 1660-1670. Just 
before coming he spent some time with the Mostyn family in Flintshire.
After coming to Virginia, there were several exchanges of letters with
the Mostyns. These are traditions and the connection that John had 
with the Mostyns is not known.

5 May 1695 David Lewis, son of John Lewis, was baptized.  His mother's  
   name was not given in the St. Peter's Parish Register.
